Sweeney Restoration Rebrands as Sweeney Build in New Orleans
The Short Version
Sweeney Restoration, the New Orleans contractor founded by Devon Sweeney in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina, now operates as Sweeney Build. The company has the same owner, the same office at 4333 Washington Ave., the same phone number, (504) 533-0007 , and the same Louisiana contractor licenses. The new name reflects the work it does today: custom home builds, remodeling, home additions and commercial construction across Greater New Orleans.

Why Sweeney Restoration Became Sweeney Build
The company was founded in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a period that reshaped New Orleans and created lasting demand for skilled residential and commercial contractors. Its early work focused on restoration, rebuilding homes properly in the neighborhoods that needed it most.
Over time, that work grew into a full-service construction practice. Today the company builds custom homes, designs and builds additions, remodels kitchens and bathrooms, and takes on commercial construction projects throughout the Greater New Orleans area.
The Sweeney Restoration name was accurate to how the company started, but it no longer described the full range of work it delivers. The Sweeney Build name brings the company's public identity in line with that work, from ground-up builds to targeted interior renovations.
